The basic problem solving tools of Lean and Six Sigma are presented in the DMAIC format. This is a course designed to help an organization improve the efficiency of processes throughout their management system. Learn basic problem solving techniques in a non-statistical format in this 5-day course. The class emphasizes application through hands-on simulations. Students are encouraged to identify a process improvement project and apply the principles to that project. This course is appropriate for top managers and floor level employees.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course presents the most commonly used tools in problem solving in this 10-day class. The Green Belt course will assist in the improvement of the management system by identifying and improving processes. Process improvement is approached from a data perspective. Using appropriate data analysis to identify and correct the root cause is the strength of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Since this is a data-driven course, Minitab statistical software is used in the training and application. The course focuses on practical application of the tools through hands on activities and simulations. Completion of a process improvement project results in achieving certification. The class is usually presented in two sessions with 4 to 6 weeks between to allow students time to apply the principles to their projects. This course is appropriate for top managers and employees desiring to improve their problem solving skills.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt student learns expert level problem solving skills in this 16-day class. A wide range of statistical analysis aids in the identification of root cause in the most difficult of problems. The Black Belt course will assist in the improvement of the management system by using appropriate data measurements and analysis for identifying and improving processes. Since this is a data driven course, Minitab statistical software is used in the training and application. The course is generally presented over a period of 4 months. Practical application of the tools is required for Black Belt Certification to be granted. The student will select a process improvement project from his or her area of business to complete the certification requirement. The project is brought to class and becomes part of the learning application. This course is designed for the employee whose job function requires analytical and problem solving skills.
