Prepare your team to meet the requirements of the “fourth pillar” of quality shipping, complementing the key Conventions of IMO dealing with safety and security of ships and protection of the marine environment.
This training focuses on the general requirements of Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006, as amended. Often referred to as the Seafarers’ Bill of Rights, this International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention takes into consideration the global nature of shipping and calls for the special protection of seafarers.
The training contains practical guidelines for implementing and determining compliance with the requirements of the Convention. The course also covers the measures taken by the U.S Coast Guard to ensure compliance with the Convention for U.S flagged vessels in foreign ports.
This training is offered as a one-day overview and two-day auditor format. Each format highlights measures put in place to ensure decent work for seafarers. This includes employment conditions, minimum requirements for seafarers to work on ships and the responsibilities of Flag States, ship owners and Port State Controls to ensure compliance with these minimum requirements provided in the Convention. Those opting for the two-day auditor format will additionally receive training in the principles of auditing.

Attendees successfully completing the training provided & examinations offered with our MLC Auditor training course receive a Certificate of Successful Completion.

In our ISM auditor training course, you will learn the skills to conduct internal audits to assess conformity to ISM Code 2018. Participants will learn:
Interpret and apply ISM
Relate ISM Code to your business management system, regardless of your type of business
Identify the controls necessary for ensuring the SMS translates customer needs into satisfied customers
Use the SMS to work proactively and not reactively
Relate fiduciary concerns to the performance of the SMS
Develop a reliable and pliable system, particularly effective for organizations where process objectives are constantly changing
Communicate the roles and responsibilities within the SMS to the organization
Conduct and lead 1st and 2nd and 3rd party audits
Relate the capabilities of the organization to the expectations of customers, top management and shareholders
Explain to customers how the organization plans to fulfill its promises and show evidence that it has done so in the past
